Board Members

The Manchester Education Foundation is managed by a board of directors made up of residents of Manchester, alumni of the MLSD, and business owners in and around the community. The current Board is made up of the following individuals:

Jack Daniels - Chairman
Jack moved to Manchester in 1996 and fell in love with the community. He is the father of three teenagers who have attended Manchester Schools since Kindergarten. Jack is the president and owner of Kandel Transport and Kandel Cold Storage. He has also been active in the YMCA Indian Guides program since 2005.

Ed Ganley - Treasurer
Ed and his wife Judith moved to Manchester in 1997. They have a teenage daughter who is a graduate of MHS (she is currently in college). Ed is the owner of Summit Accounting and Tax located in Green. Ed firmly believes that one of the pillars of a strong community lies in the education of its youth and therefore wholeheartedly supports the mission of the Manchester Education Foundation.

Tom Knoebel - Secretary
Tom and his wife Jolie (Timura) are both MHS class of 1985 alumni and moved back to Manchester in 2002. Their oldest son graduated from MHS in 2011, and their daughter in 2017. They also have a son currently at MHS. Tom has served as President of the Manchester Music Boosters, and is currently a software engineer for Tribute Inc. in Hudson.

Doug Knipp
Doug and his wife Becky have lived in Manchester since 2001. They have one daughter who graduated from MHS and another currently in the Manchester Schools. Doug works as an application engineer for a machine tool dealer, servicing the needs of the manufacturing community. His hobbies include running, reading and playing bass guitar.

Tammy Mundy
Tammy is a 1982 graduate of Manchester High School. She and her husband Dano have lived in New Franklin for over 30 years. Their two sons graduated from Manchester High School. Tammy taught kindergarten for 36 years before retiring from Jackson Local Schools. She now volunteers in kindergarten and is a substitute teacher at Amherst Elementary School in Jackson Twp.

Jack Cooper
Jack is a MHS class of 1981 alumnus and is one of 5 brothers who graduated from Manchester. His mother still lives in the community, and his niece and nephew currently attend school in the district. Jack now lives in North Canton and practices commercial law as a partner in Day, Ketterer Ltd. in Canton.

Mark Sipos
Mark is a 1981 graduate of MHS and a life-long resident of Manchester. He has two sons (MHS class of 2011 and 2014). Mark has coached a variety of sports in Manchester for over 20 years at the high school and youth levels, held various board positions within the youth organizations, and served on the school's long-range planning committee. Mark is a CPA and the owner of Arpadian Performance Accounting, in Akron.

Sara Johnson
Sara and her husband Fred moved to the New Franklin in 2015. Together with their 5 children, they are dedicated members of the Manchester school system. Sara has a bachelor's degree from Kent State in Early Education and Master's of Arts in Education degree from Walsh University. She works at Nolley Elementary school.

Jeff Cady
Jeff and his wife Lisa moved to the Manchester area in 2005. They have three children active in the Manchester school system. Jeff is a graduate from Kent State University and is a software engineer for Cardinal Health in Twinsburg.
